Jane has been happily married for 25 years -- a huge milestone! Jane wanted to celebrate this big occasion with something special and figured that, although she was keeping her husband, she could update her engagement ring for the next twenty-five years. After all, twenty-five years is a long time!
One of the main goals of the redesign was to update the ring’s design to something significantly more modern. Jane’s old ring, while holding many beautiful diamonds that she loved, was very outdated with its high settings and excess of metal. We wanted the new design to significantly update the ring while honoring the original by using all of her old diamonds in the new design.

Ring Sketch
In order to utilize all of the diamonds that Jane had in her original ring we decided to incorporate setting diamonds into the shank, playing around with different shapes and placements. We were able to use all of the existing diamonds to do this but we had to add round melee diamonds around the center diamond to create the modern look we were going for. The final design was very geometric as we were able to play off of the many square and marquise cut diamonds from her old ring.
Once Jane approved of the design, we created a 3D CAD model and created the new casting for the old stones.

Jane loved her new custom-made ring; she loved how it carried with the memory of the previous twenty-five years of her marriage with all of her old diamonds while also showcasing her modern sensibility and promising refreshed excitement for the years to come.
