provide you our jewelry design expertise from the concepting to the making of
jewelry. Also, we can answer any questions about the jewelry makeover process

Seohee

Born in South Korea and raised in Europe and USA, Seohee has been
making jewelry since high school. After graduating with a degree in
jewelry design from Rhode Island School of Design, she also attended
master’s program in Milan, Italy under Richemond group to obtain
master’s degree in luxury design. Since then, Seohee has worked with
the world’s most elite and luxury brands like Tiffany and Co. in NYC,
Van Cleef and Arpels in Paris, to name a few. She has been a lead
couture jewelry designer for over a decade.
After so many years in the business, Seohee started Studio Remod
but also sells her own designs under her brand S/H KOH. However, Seohee
wanted to use her skills, her elite designer connections, and her desire to fill
the need for some jewelry makeovers to create a new concept that
would bring the custom jewelry business to the 21st century.

Corrie

Corrie studied fine art and history in the Pacific Northwest
but discovered her true passion in New York City: Jewelry.
Over the span of her career she’s been a jewelry designer to several
top brands including Kenneth Cole, Rachel Roy and Henri Bendel.
Corrie believes that our ancestors used jewelry to reflect their identities;
to protect and empower themselves just as we do today. Jewelry is our
modern talisman and should be treated with care and reverence and
she cannot wait to breath new life into your most cherished pieces.

What is Studio Remod?+
Studio Remod is a new jewelry concept that provides an online jewelry makeover service where you can participate in bringing new life to "old" jewelry. We’ll repurpose part or all of your original jewelry to create something personalized for you as part of our Bring Your Own Jewelry (BYOJ) process.
How does it work?+
Simply fill out the ‘Get Started’ form and schedule a Skype design consultation with one of our jewelry experts. After the call, you’ll ship your jewelry with our provided prepaid shipping label. In the final stage, you’ll get three design options to choose from. You choose and we’ll make your custom jewelry.
Is it a one-off jewelry makeover service type thing?+
Yes. Studio Remod is a one-off jewelry makeover service. We only make one-of-a-kind custom jewelry on a by-case basis.
Why would I use Studio Remod instead of buying a new piece of jewelry?+
We can bring new life to your “old” jewelry by repurposing part or all of its current parts. You’ll save materials, mementos, and you’ll have a one-of-a-kind custom made jewelry made just for you.
Can I meet the designer in person for a consultation?+
We are located in the Diamond District in NYC for in-person meetings.
Is there minimum cost for jewelry makeover?+
We have a minimu price for jewelry makeover at $400.
What happens to my old jewelry that I sent to Studio Remod?+
We will use the specific elements from your old piece that you want us to use such as stones or metal. There are three options for any leftover materials: 1.The metal can be sent to you with your new jewelry at the end of our process or 2.we can sell the metal to a refinery and the dividends will be deducted from your final cost. (We do not credit the silver. We will send back the silver to you if your old jewelry was emdobied in silver. We will sell 14k-24k gold and Platinum to deduct from your final cost.) Or, 3.we can reuse the existing gold/platinum directly. However, due to the individual casting flask process, there is a $150 fee to reuse the same metal. Overall, this option still lowers final cost.
Do you accept any type of jewelry for jewelry makeover?+
Yes, we can accept any jewelry that has precious stones.

Design Process

What is the first step?+
Just fill out the ‘Get Started’ form and schedule a design consultation call with our jewelry expert.
How long is the design consultation and how many sessions are there?+
Usually the design consultation is thirty minutes. You can request additional consultations after you receive your design options.
What happens after I choose my designs?+
As soon as you choose a design you’ll enter our check-out process. After payment confirmation, Studio Remod will fabricate your piece.
How does my piece go from forgotten treasure to design to new jewelry?+
Our jewelry experts will create a 3D CAD model from your chosen design and will send it to a 3D printer. Then we’ll cast the 3D waxes into metal and purchase additional materials like findings and stones. Finally, we send the castings and the materials to our jewelry workshop for manufacturing in NYC. At the jewelry workshop the jewelers will clean the metal casting and make a mold. They’ll solder, stone set, and polish, and finally we’ll send you the brand-new-to-you piece.
Can I make revisions on the design?+
You can make revisions when you are choosing between the three design and you can provide additional revisions at this time. However, once the manufacturing process has begun there are no longer revision opportunities.
How long will it be before I receive my jewelry?+
Once the design has been decided upon, it normally takes 3-4 weeks depending on the difficulty of the design.
Is there a workmanship guarantee to cover my new jewelry?+
As long as you have your Studio Remod jewelry you can send it to us for repairs within a year.

Pricing/Payment

How much does a jewelry makeover cost?+
It depends on the materials and on the difficulty of design. Cost discussions will be included in our consultation call. The Pricing tab includes case studies by cost. Your first design consultation is entirely free!
Is there minimum cost for jewelry makeover?+
We have a minimu price for jewelry makeover at $400.
When will I be charged?+
As soon as you choose a design from the three options provided you’ll enter our check-out process and will pay 70% at that time. And, you will pay the remaining upon the completion of the new jewelry.
What happens to my old jewelry that I sent to Studio Remod?+
We will use the specific elements from your old piece that you want us to use such as stones or metal. There are three options for any leftover materials: 1. The metal can be sent to you with your new jewelry at the end of our process. 2. we can sell the metal to a refinery and the dividends will be deducted from your final cost. (We do not credit the silver. We will send back the silver to you if your old jewelry was emdobied in silver. We will sell 14k-24k gold and Platinum to deduct from your final cost.) 3. we can reuse the existing gold/platinum directly. However, due to the individual casting flask process, there is a $150 fee to reuse the same metal. Overall, this option still lowers final cost.
Can I send other old jewelry besides the one being used for the redesign?+
Yes, we can try to scrap old jewelry and sell gold and we will take 20% fee of the scrap value. And, the dividends will be deducted from your final cost.(we only accept 14k-24k gold and Platinum. We do not accept silver.)
What if I change my mind about the new jewelry from Studio Remod?+
You can make revisions to one of the three design options provided by Studio Remod. Once we complete your new jewelry it can no longer be changed. Unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds once the jewelry manufacturing has begun.

Shipping/Returns

How do I send my old jewelry to Studio Remod?+
Studio Remod provides you a prepaid shipping label with full insurance. Simply print it out and mail in your jewelry.
What if it goes missing on its way to you?+
You're completely covered: We insure your jewelry from the second it ships to the second it reaches us.
What’s the cost of shipping and returns?+
Shipping is free both ways!
Can I return the new jewelry from Studio Remod?+
No, once fabricated the jewelry sale is final but you are covered under our Studio Remod repair guarantee within a year.
Can I ship my old jewelry internationally?+
Not at this time. Right now Studio Remod service is only available for domestic US orders (across all 50 states).
