Lauren’s loving family has given her lots of valuable gifts. Her father had given her some beautiful diamond earrings and her grandmother had given her a classic gold ring.
The only problem: Neither of these items suited Lauren’s style and she knew that, despite the love and affection she had for her father and grandmother, she’d never take them out of the drawer in their current state.
Lauren brought the two pieces of jewelry to us to redesign so we could work together to make a custom-made design that included elements of the original gifts but that came together to suit Lauren’s style and tastes. Lauren also brought us some old jewelry that we were able to sell and deduct the final price from.
We worked with Lauren to create a simple custom channel set princess ring that would use the diamonds from her father’s earrings and would include the gold from her grandmother’s ring.
Some sketch options of designs
Because of the classic simplicity of the redesign and the fact that we had almost all the materials we needed for the new piece, our process was fairly straightforward. We simply had to send out the gold to be melted down to cast and have the diamonds set in the channel setting.

Lauren loved that she combined these jewelry into a custom-made piece that kept alive memories of her father, her grandmother, and remained effortlessly chic and in Lauren’s style.
