Catharine had been holding on to this custom-made spiral ring with a heart-shaped diamond for many years although she always had felt that something wasn’t quite right.
After discussing design preferences with Catharine, we learned that it wasn’t the spiral design that she disliked, rather it was the way that the spiral was executed and the weight and quality of the materials the ring was made of.
We decided that the only elements of the original ring that we would keep would be the coil concept and the heart-shaped bezel-set diamond.
Because we decided with Catharine to keep the diamond’s bezel setting and heart shape, the only items to design were the spiral shank and coil for the new custom ring. We gave Catharine couple of different options of coil angle and width before she decided on a style that suited her tastes and interests.
Once Catharine had made this final decision on the shank and coil, we were ready to create a 3D design through our Rhino software and eventually create the custom ring.

Catharine was incredibly happy about the redesign of her ring. She was so excited to have a custom-made ring that kept the concept of her original piece but was contemporary and sophisticated -- just like her!
